SaskTel is investing hundreds of thousands in capital to develop its 5G community and broadband attain in 2023 and 2024.
Of the funding totalling $413 million, $160 million is particularly allotted in the direction of 5G. The funds will improve 260 cell websites to 5G and assemble 10 new websites.
“In 2023/24, we’re planning to speculate extra in wi-fi and fibre optic broadband applied sciences than ever earlier than,” Doug Burnett, SaskTel’s CEO, mentioned.

The corporate has allotted $106 million to develop its infiNET community, the biggest fibre optic community within the province.
