Netflix has ordered Tall Pines, a brand new thriller sequence from Toronto’s Mae Martin.
On high of starring within the sequence, Martin will function creator, co-showrunner (with Servant‘s Ryan Scott) and govt producer. Toronto-based Sphere Media (Kind Of) is co-producing the sequence.
Per Netflix, the sequence is “set in a bucolic however sinister city that explores the insidious underbelly of the troubled teen business and the everlasting battle between one era and the subsequent.”
Martin is the co-creator and star of the acclaimed British sequence Really feel Good, a semi-autobiographical story a few Canadian comic who goes to the U.Okay. and falls in love with one other lady. The sequence streams internationally on Netflix, together with in Canada. Martin additionally appeared in a number of episodes of HBO’s The Flight Attendant and was a featured comic in Amazon’s LOL: Final One Laughing Canada.
A launch date and different casting data for Tall Pines haven’t but been revealed.
